METALSMITHING
This course is designed to accommodate the beginning
as well as the advanced student and covers all the
fundamental topics of jewelry making – basic techniques,
including sawing, filing, soldering, texturing and patina
coloring. Individual attention will allow the student
to progress at their own pace. Students with previous
experience will have the opportunity to select a project.

INTERMEDIATE METALSMITHING
An intermediate class for jewelry students who already
have some experience. The emphasis will be on group
and individual projects. We will work together on each
step involved in the process of design, fabrication,
and finishing. Discussions and demonstrations may
include: hollow forms, broom casting, spiculum
making, box construction, cuttlefish casting, repoussé,
hinges, clasps, and surface textures, including etching
on copper and silver.
