My current clay work is wheel thrown, using decorative resist techniques and color to create layered glaze surfaces. Focusing on the vessel and the relationships between inside/outside. I am intrigued with the visual play of surface depth created by altering the form and its color compliments. Influences include Swedish design, Frank Lloyd Wright and paintings by Richard Diebenkorn and Amedeo Modigliani.  Recently, I have been looking much more closely at the natural forms, living nature, for ideas. My interests in combining strong design with color continue in clay.
