Learn to transform your designs from flat to three-dimensional with Jayne Redman's intensive three-day jewelry workshop. Learn her innovative design and assembly techniques honed over 40+ years of metalsmithing. Discover centrally radiating forms, nested forms, spacing for slotted forms, faux hinge assembly, and tab construction. Jayne will demonstrate using both computer-aided and manual design methods. Master the creation of blanking (pancake) dies for efficient shape cutting. Dive into the creative process, experimenting with form and assembly to enhance production and integrate unique shapes into your pieces.
Jayne Redman earned her B.F.A. in Jewelry and Silversmithing from Maine College of Art in 1977. Upon graduation she developed and taught the first Continuing Studies program in Jewelry and Metals for the college. In 1979 she became a design and production assistant for a New York jewelry designer in the fashion industry. She started her own company, Jayne Redman Jewelry, in 1982 and exhibited her work nationally at fine craft shows and galleries.
