Artist-educator Stephanie Lanter has been exhibiting her ceramic sculpture, vessels, drawings and mixed media work internationally since 2000, and presented for numerous institutions including NCECA, CAA and ArtAxis. She was one of the first two resident artists at the Red Lodge Clay Center, and also had residencies at the Archie Bray, Arrowmont’s Pentaculum, LH Project, Anderson Ranch, and the Mendocino Arts Center. She was the first Jentel “Critic at the Bray,” and has written for Ceramics Monthly and Ceramics, Art & Perception. Currently an Associate Professor of Ceramics at the University of Hartford Art School, she formerly taught at Emporia, Washburn & Wichita State Universities in Kansas. Her MFA is from Ohio University and BA from Xavier University.
