All the Colors & Mary Bramble Scott
Back to events350 South Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457
A showcase of handwoven textiles created by our Wesleyan Potters Weaving members. From the softest neutrals to the most vivid saturations, this exhibit brings together an extraordinary variety of woven works that showcase the full expressive range of the loom as well as the individual artist. Each piece is a testament to the patient, meditative art of weaving.
This show will also feature the stunning ceramic work of Member and Instructor, Mary Bramble-Scott.
Born into a family that always prized the handmade/the one-of-a-kind; Mary grew up appreciating art and craft not just for the intrinsic beauty of an object or how well it performed its function or even the skill of the creator; but for the connection it meant to family and community. In her home, Mary is surrounded by beautiful, useful objects and tools made by family and friends. Each piece is an artifact that tells a part of the story, past and future, that form the arc of a life. This is the story Mary is compelled to continue with her own body of work.
Opening Reception: October 3, 2026 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
