Administrative AssistantShe/Her

Amaya McPhatter is a painter and potter living and working in the Connecticut River Valley.

She studied Design History and Practice at Parsons School of Design before completing her BA in Art and Art History from Lesley University in 2026.

Amaya’s work in pottery and ceramics is largely focused on utilitarianism. She prioritizes feel and texture, with a preference for bowls and cups. She has also experimented with 3D printing in clay, along with printing cyanotypes on various clay bodies. In her painting, Amaya explores both her personal and cultural identities, often prioritizing color and form.

She is currently the Office Administrative Assistant at Wesleyan Potters (the voice you hear when you call!) and has a professional background in administration and human resources.
