My love for making art using earth elements began when I was four. I explored the sculptural elements of texture, and color with projects such as collage. I was thrilled by the fantastic detail, interest and textural imprint of brightly colored leaves. The beautiful effect of the many, not quite possible without each single one.

After years of creating art using various mediums, including painting and sculpting in soapstone, I gravitated to the flexibility and forgiveness of working with clay.
