I have always been interested in pottery. My friend in Vermont was teaching class so I attended. I’ve been hooked ever since!

I enjoy baking and cooking. So, in my pottery, I am always looking for a new vessel to display food. When I’m creating at the Pottery, I am exposed to other artists. I’m sure this influences my designs. I also enjoy looking in magazines for new ceramics ideas. I usually sketch a form then try to replicate it on the wheel. I like making closed forms but also enjoy making mugs. I primarily work in porcelain because I like the feel and the way the glaze looks so crisp after the piece is fired. Pottery centers me!
