Warp, Weft & Purl Opening Reception

From our looms to your homes, Warp, Weft & Purl is an exhibition featuring the incredible work of the Wesleyan Potters weaving Key Members, students, and instructors.

 

"Weaving is the process of intertwining horizontal weft with vertical warp strings on a loom to create a fabric or textile."

 

Hand weaving allows the artist the ability to carefully craft unique patterns and prints into their fabrics, producing work no machine could replicate. The planning and care that goes into each piece they craft is so impressive. Come and admire the scarves, blankets, place mats, towels, baskets, gloves, cowls, shawls, and felted characters that will be on display and for sale. Any work that is not for sale will be marked as such.

 

This show runs from February 22 – March 19, 2023. The Gallery Shop hours are Wednesday & Saturday 10-5, Thursday 10-6, Friday 12-5 and Sunday 12-4.

 

We hope you will join us and see what we’ve been up to, mingle with the artists, and enjoy some refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. Free and accessible parking is available in the front and back of our building.
