My love and appreciation for ancient cultures are the inspiration for my jewelry. I have always admired the complexity yet simplicity in the architecture, alphabets, and personal adornments of the people of a time long ago. It amazes me that so many beautiful things were able to be created with the use of minimal tools and resources.

My original designs are drawn using the pen and ink technique. The design is then copied onto a transfer paper, ironed onto the metal and then are etched on sterling, copper or brass which can take between 2 -12 hours depending on the metal. Once etched some of the pieces have a patina applied to give the illusion of age. Although the majority of my work is etching metal I have recently begun using steel wire in some of my designs. Besides metal work I also enjoy assemblage art and encaustic painting.
