Stained Glass

Throughout my life and career as an Artist, I have created and been intrigued with various art forms and mediums. The surrounding environment, “local color”, and "Nature"; have always been the source for my inspiration, images, and color palettes.

After taking a stained-glass class and gaining the confidence to “cut glass”, I was instantly captivated by the many color options and textures found in this medium. I became mesmerized with watching pieces of colored glass and crystal bevels “change”, with the varying light sources behind them. It seems the properties found in glass has not only captured my imagination, but thousands of others throughout the ages.

Stained-glass examples continue to exist, within Medieval Cathedrals and other structures, throughout the world. Most of these artworks seem to have endured the elements and “tests of time”. Today, many of us may continue to enjoy and be inspired by stained-glass’s enduring qualities, of “color and light”.
