I have always loved fiber. Although busy with my kids when they were young, I made time for weaving classes at the Pottery.

My ideas come from classes I attend. My colors from the environment. I start with a written pattern and then adjust it to my liking. I’m at a time in my life where I don’t mind a complicated threading but the weaving should be easy to give me time to think of the next project. I love to weave in silk or a combination of wool and silk. Consequently, my projects consist of many threads that are soft and delicate. I tend to make scarves and blankets. Weaving is soothing and the ideas are endless. I consider weaving a meditative sport. It is very satisfying.
